I would not go with less than 512k minimum for Cpanel / WHM ....

Disabling named is extremely unwise as that is also used for
a lot of internal processes as well as account resolutioin.

The various chat servers, mailman, etc should be fine to deactivate
and won't hurt anything if you turn those off.
