Sending them email from the blacklisted server is generally sufficient
as they maintain a whitelisted email address that ignores SORBs checks
for the purposes of delisting.
However, as serversphere previously pointed out above, SORBS may or
may not be closing effective July 20th so your being listed may not be
a big issue in and of itself as far as this database is concerned.
It may be a much more relevent issue to do what you can to make sure
that you don't get listed in the future in any other blacklist databases.
I know you said that the offending user has been terminated but what
have you done to prevent future exploits? It just so happens that I am
an expert in that specific area and could give you a few good pointers
or more one on one direct assistance hardening down the security on
your server(s) and account(s) so that this doesn't happen again.
