The 15day trial is a full working copy of cPanel the last time that I checked. You could try submitting a ticket, however I don't recall if trail licenses come with support. If you are migrating from another control panel, I know there used to be migration assistance available, but once again I'm unsure if it applies to trail licenses.
As for the lost files and folders, are assuming that you're transferring from another control panel, are you losing files specific to the old software? Or are you losing actual website data?
