Really great news and a relief to hear that our concerns actually were taken into consideration. Thank you cPanel!

Today at 7:22AM Pacific Time Attracta hit 2,000,000 websites. In just 6 months we have gone from 1 million to 2 million websites. I predict we will go from 2 million to 3 million in less than 3 months... and hit over 6 million by the end of this year.
We would like to thank everyone at cPanel and all of our cPanel hosting partners for helping to make Attracta the world's most popular SEO tool.

Nick,Our plan is to present you with a new Setup Wizard screen in the WHM upon the first visit after an upgrade. You'll have an opportunity to learn about each new feature along with a clear and simple choice to enable it. Once you've made your decision, the Setup Wizard won't alert you about these new features again. You'll also have the option of skipping the Setup Wizard for the time being so that you can return to it once you're more prepared to make a decision.
Thanks for hearing everybody on this. I was going to add my voice to this thread in protest....
Now I have to say, this new setup wizard sounds like a GREAT feature. I usually read the change logs...but its still easy to miss important features.
This is a great learning experience for cPanel, and I'm very glad to see how it worked out!

Why is cPanel using third party tools?
Why can't cPanel have their own SEO tools instead?
I mean, cPGS is possible. (Correct me if cPGS is a third-party tool.)
This really proves how lazy cPanel is.
cPanel is degrading to Plesk (massively bundled 3rd party tools blah blah, useless tools included)
Please, third party tools = laziness
Yours truly,
GIANT_CRAB
Well...from my understanding and using cpanel for about 7-8 years,this is the first bundled third party app that came with cpanel.Except the munin and other stuff that you install manually. And I really think that building an SEO platform in house would take years and a lot more people to get it to Attractas level of service.If I and my customers will have a clear choice of On Off switch for this bundle,well,why not take a shot at it?
Do we have an ETA for this feature ?
I know that you can already install the plugin but as far as I know only in English. We are looking forward to testing Attracta in other languages to see if it can work for companies who are not based in the USA.![]()
Where in WHM are we supposed to find Attracta? I can't see it anywhere
- cPanel :: Fantastico :: RVSkin :: WHM :: ModernBill
- Reseller Hosting :: SSL Certificates :: Domain Registrations :: Affiliate Program
- Blog Hosting :: CMS Hosting :: Forum Hosting :: E-Commerce Hosting

Nick, very considerate and wise decision. Thumbs up for cPanel!
Currently, you'll have to enable Attracta on the command line with the following command:
As Attracta is a new type of feature, cPanel and Attracta are still working together to ensure that the officially released activation/onboarding process is easy to use, provides good insight into the tools and makes sense for hosts.Code:/usr/local/cpanel/bin/manage_features enable attracta
You can sign up to be an Attracta partner and learn more about partnering with Attracta here: https://www.attracta.com/signup/part...nel&level=root
Is Attracta available for all WHM users now? I cannot see the "additional software" link in the left WHM menu.
Why would you enable this by default?
This type of **** really pisses me off.

Seriously, every release I shouldn't be worried about having to uninstall, delete, and clean up after garbage software that I didn't ask for or give permission to have implemented.
Due to the major difference in release cycles between Attracta (~1/mo) and cPanel (~3/yr), and the consideration that cPanel's development efforts are best spent on new features, we're distributing the plugin as a standalone package that can be easily installed from SSH.
In order to get the latest Attracta, SSH into your server as root and run these commands:
Code:wget -N http://www.attracta.com/static/download/Attracta-SEO-cPanel-Stable.sea chmod +x Attracta-SEO-cPanel-Stable.sea ./Attracta-SEO-cPanel-Stable.sea
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Even with the bundled version, cPanel did not choose to enable Attracta by default. It is not being enabled by default on any cPanel system and if you do nothing, you will not receive Attracta. Sorry that you got a different impression. We by no means want to push the software on anyone who does not want it.
