to cPanel Team - I try to patch downloaded 5.2.17 by myself, but it is not possible in the same way as I patch before_apache_make
Is there any way to apply php patches outside patches provided by cPanel?

+1, all supported versions of PHP should be patched as soon as the patches become available (and the patches have gone throught QA)
