Backup option: protect archive by password

Hello,
it would be great if we want to backup our files (cpanel) on a remote server (ftp) that we can protect the archive with a password.

Good idea except that it's quite easy to crack a simple password protected zip. It would need to be encrypted archive and maybe even need a certificate to decrypt it.

I'm defiantly for the ability to encrypt user backups for users that send complete backup files to a distant FTP server.
