Default Boxtrapper: Add Button "Delete and Blacklist" [Case 50764]

On the Review queue option (where you can review messages currently waiting for verification) the page currently has the buttons delete and whitelist and deliver. Add a button on that page that says delete and blacklist this sender. (Currently you have to select each individual address to do this. Very labour intensive and time consuming).

Lightbulb Add a selection button for blacklist and delete

I love my box trapper and it has really cut down on the spam in my inbox. I get a lot of emails and much is spam. Going to each email individually is time consuming.

On the review cue page where you can ""delete or "white list and deliver" all the emails that are selected is the perfect place to add a button where I can select the obvious emails that are spam and mass blacklist and delete would be a real time saver and cut down on the emails that I have to wade through.

I know it would have to be used with discretion and not just all the emails I have signed up for and no longer want. That is my responsibility as a courteous subscriber to unsubscribe from the list.

Default Ability to quickly "Ignore" and/or "Blacklist" using BoxTrapper:

I use BoxTrapper to trap all my email messages before they hit my inbox.
Unfortunately there are OFTEN many more messages that are spam than real
email messages. I know I can adjust my SpamAssasin settings to make my filter behave more strictly, but I'd rather use the following method:

I'd like to be able to click "Check All" and then "IGNORE" or "BLACKLIST" in
the exact same way I can currently hit "Delete" or "Whitelist & Deliver."

Your technician said I should manually enter the domains into my blacklist
or ignore list. Or adjust SpamAssasin to block more. The problem with
manually entering the domains is pretty obvious. The problem with making
SpamAssasin more strict is that I've attempted this, and have no way of
knowing when a valid email message simply disappears. It would make more
sense to me to have the ability to visually and selectively IGNORE or
BLACKLIST messages using the same interface that allows me to Delete or
    Whitelist them.

    Thank you for your consideration,
    Tim

Default BOXTRAPPER SEARCH RESULTS: ADD a button to "Delete & Blacklist" all selected senders

    Dear cPanel,

On the opening screen of the Boxtrapper Search Results, one is only presented with 2 options:

    -Delete
    -Whitelist & Deliver

Could you PLEASE add to that screen one other option?
-Delete this message and blacklist the sender, or perhaps simply “-Delete & Blacklist”

I now receive between 75 and 150 spam e-mails from just a handful of spammers, but it takes me around 30 minutes, twice a day to have to go through each and every email to get to the next screen that allows me to “Delete this message and blacklist the sender”, where if you had this selection available at the Boxtrapper Search Results level, I could “Select All” and get the same job done in mere seconds!

As you can see by the page that I copied below, which is a small sample of what I wind up with on most days, this addition would make this task so much easier. It is easy to glance at the page and see the few, if any, that I want to “Whitelist & Deliver” and the rest would be a snap if I could just “Select All” and then “Delete & Blacklist” were added to the other two options.

Yes, you have the “Delete” option there, but as I understand, that choice as it now stands, will not add the sender to the Blacklist.

To give up to an hour and a half of my time each day in deleting and blacklisting is such a waste of time in anyone’s life.

Thank you so much for your kind consideration.

    Sincerely,

    walkmeister

Greetings walkmeister, I've noticed that your Feature Request has been mentioned in multiple threads going back to last year and so have merged them all into one thread. This is important as more positive comments for this feature are posted the more important it becomes.

Edit: Merged posts into the wrong thread. This has now been sorted. My apologies for the mistake.

I don't know what happened to my posting, but it sounds like cPanel has no interest in making the product substantially better from the standpoint of user-friendliness and the ability to "wholesale" Blacklist and Delete spam mail (I just Blacklisted and Deleted one-by-one over 200 spam emails from the weekend and going back over just 2 days, it took me almost an hour and a half) unless there are enough "squeaky wheels" out there regarding this issue.

How something so simple, that would add true value to the cPanel product can take months and years to accumulate requests for in this forum before the cPanel crew decides to take action on it is to me, inexcusable.

Days or weeks are understandable, but months or years?

    Really? Is my assumption correct?

Given how long this feature request has been open, there is remarkably little support for this feature.

Hopefully, with your feedback driving this feature request to the top of this section of the forums (based on most recent post time) this feature will gain more traction to justify the development resources that would need to be invested into this feature.

I agree. I get a ton of SPAM and I use Boxtrapper. However I need the the ability to select multiple messages waiting in the review que delete and blacklist them all simultaneously. Currently I only have the following options when selecting multiple messages:

    Delete
    Whitelist & Deliver

I need the option to Delete & Blacklist all messages checked. Currently the only way I can do this are to select each message individually. This is not an effective solution when you have 100+ messages daily you want deleted & blacklisted. Additionally I would appreciate navigation links being added to the top of the page as well as the bottom. When I delete 100+ messages I have to scroll to the bottom of the page in order to go back. This also becomes annoying especially when you have weeks of messages in the que awaiting review.

Since it takes cPanel so long to decide whether or not they want to help their customers, I downloaded Mailwasher Pro that comes with a 30 day trial, and there are two versions: the 2011 version and the older one. I prefer the older one because you can tell it how you want the program to handle all of your email instead of by the each, and it is a very FAST way to get rid of the spam in a wholesale fashion, the cost is $30.00 US for one year, and their customer service is excellent. It beats wasting an hour fighting with the blasted cPanel review queue. Why they can't get off their rear ends and help their customers with this problem is absolutely beyond me!

After discussing this with our developers, I have filed a report internally requesting the implementation of this functionality. The case number associated with this feature can now be found in the title of this thread.

Thank you for the update David. Will adding the navigation links (Go Back) currently found at the bottom of the page to the top of the page so one does not have to scroll to the bottom of the page after executing either button require another feature request and/or internal implementation request?

Alternatively you could leave the one navigation link already in place & return a summary report of the action taken versus the verbose report showing the detail for each message blacklisted/deleted. However the option to choose verbose/summary report as well as links at the top & bottom of the page would be the most user configurable scenario.

    Dear cPanelDavidG,

Has this functionality been implemented? I have the latest version of cPanel and still cannot see it?

This functionality is not yet implemented. If you look at the title of this thread, you will see the label "Filed with Developers." This means this is on our to-do list but we do not yet have an ETA for this functionality.

As updates are available about the progress of this feature's implementation, I will update this thread.
