As a long time partner with cPanel I must say that we are also much dissapointed that this isn't part of cPanel already. We are missing out on promotions from registries and more and more of our competitors are offering this making us look as if we are falling behind the rest. The registry for .se domains is having a promotion in december where domains with DNSSEC will be cheaper then without. Please get DNSSEC up and running ASAP.

Agreed. Moreover, considering all the fuss around Comodo/Diginotar SSL, DNSSEC is now in the spotlights more than ever.

The fact that clients have been asking for these functionalities since 2008 and it's still not available now, really is pretty much unacceptable.

David - please provide us with an indication of when we can expect to see DNSSEC implementations in cPanel. With these kind of things, time-to-market is very important and we're falling behind on competitors at the moment.

We are in the final planning stages on this, but since it's still in the planning stages I don't have an ETA yet. Keep in mind, this isn't just a matter of DNSSEC being implemented when the zones are hosted on the same server as the sites, but we need to be mindful of scenarios such as the various ways DNS clustering could be set up and ensuring DNSSEC works well in those deployments.

    A sad story ...

    (.SE registry)

We get 0.5 dollar bonus för all domains registered with DNSSEC under our registrar/reseller account.
That's for all domains ever registered and active with dnssec.
We also get about 1 dollar price drop on all new domains during december if it has dnssec.

Is there a URL you can point me to for confirming this so I can relay this to our development team?

There is no URL confirming this since it's information to the registrars like us to push it out for our customers.

You have my word though Mario and I can send you the registrar newsletter (in swedish and english) should you need further evidence.

    Update:

Given the recent feedback we have received regarding DNSSEC, we are re-prioritizing our efforts on DNSSEC. There are only a couple major things left that we want to take care of before we start officially supporting DNSSEC:

    - Ensuring DNSSEC works with DNS Clustering
    - Ensuring there is user-friendly interaction for any data that needs to go upstream to registrars.

Please note that if you use MyDNS, we will not be supporting DNSSEC on MyDNS. We will support it on BIND and NSD however.

Sorry, I do not yet have an ETA on this.

    Hi,

We need DNSSEC support ASAP. This is being pushed on us by clients and regulatory agencies alike.

    Best,

    Michael

I am not sure which support is more critical. DNSSEC or IPv6. Regardless both of them need to be absolute priorities above all other features.

Somewhat disappointed this still isn't implemented. As for as IPv6, I don't think that is nearly as important. I think we are a long way off from IPv6. DNSSEC is late at this point.
