Default [Case 49170] SpamAssassin Auto-Delete interface improvement

We've had a number of customers complain about the SpamAssassin configuration screen, asking why, when they click "Disable Auto-Delete Spam", nothing happens.

We've tried answering that if auto-delete is turned on, the "Auto-Delete Spam" button goes away and shows the filter rule. But likewise, our customers have a valid point in that if it's disabled, why does the "Disable" button still appear?

    Thank you,

    David Anderson

I still think this is a very valid point about the UI, so I have sent this over to our UI team.

We plan to have this taken care of as part of version 11.34.

And an explanation to what "more conservative the setting" actually means!

Can you elaborate on how this can be made clearer?

Well, I still don't understand which will stop more spam. It's default is set to 5.

If I put in 3 will it stop more spam or less spam?

The word conservative is the confusing one. Maybe because I'm from the UK I'm getting confused.

How about giving an example along with it.

3 is a more conservative setting than 5 because it permits less spam to enter your inbox.

7 would be a less conservative setting than 5 because it permits more spam to enter your inbox.

In a sysadmin context, conservative can mean "settings that permit less."

That clears it up brilliantly, thank you.
