Suggest you add a check to see if there is enough space on the target system to copy and restore the mysql database(s) before commencing the actual transfer.
Had a bad experience tonight. There was inadequate space on /var and it filled up 100%. The transfer of course hung and I'm left with a mess.
If there is inadequate space on the target, advise the user and do not proceed with the transfer. Might also be wise to issue a warning if the transfer would leave only xx% free and give the user an option to continue with the xfer or not.
Finally, why is mysql data even in /var/lib/mysql to start with. Those partitions are never very large. Why not put it in /home/mysqldata ?
Might even be nice to have a WHM utility to relocate the mysql datadir to a new location.
