It would seem prudent to have the default setting for the Mailing List's "Archive" setting be private, instead of public.

Many people don't know their messages are searchable by google online with the default public setting found in mailing list --> "modify" --> "Archiving Options" --> 2nd item. They are very surprised to see their email made available to anyone who searches. For security, I recommend it private
