Post Limit Resellers to allowing at most: Jailed Shell SSH access

please consider incorporating DSPAM or CRM114 into cpanel.

    from CRM114's website:
News Flash: As of Feb 1 through Feb 21, 2004, 6000+ messages, my total error rate was ONE. That translates to better than 99.984% accuracy, which is ten times more accurate than human accuracy (which I've measured to be around 99.84%. Current filtering speed is about 120 kbyte/sec for a moderate (P-iii 1.4 GHz) mailserver.
Old News: New hackery gives us a tremendous speedup- we're now running about 4 times faster than SpamAssassin while still retaining our high ( better than 99.9% ) accuracy after training. From Sep. 1 through 14 2003, I had ZERO errors on over 2500 emails on my live incoming email stream.

    also:

I plan on looking at installing this on my cpanel server, but it would be nice to see this incorporated in future versions.
    Thanks!

    Thumbs up

This looks really interresting and deserves an investigation and chance.

I'd also be interested in having something like this integrated into Cpanel. Read it on slashdot just now, and thought *hey, that'd be cool if cpanel used this*.

I know SpamAssassin support already exists, but this would be soo much cooler .

I'm going to bump this thread as RC1 of 3.0 was just released.. this looks VERY promising. I would love to see some sort of implementation in CPanel.

I'm also interested in this being integrated instead of Spamassassin.

Bumping the thread is somewhat pointless. If you want a feature, there's a method for making requests:

Personally, I find SpamAssassin extremely effective with a server-wide bayesian filter with the additional SARE rules and the DCC and Razor add-ons. Running through MailScanner, I get around a 99% accuracy, if not higher.

SA-Mailscanner is a real killer of spam and viruses. Do you get any false positives at times?

SA+MailScanner has been a great solution for me, very very few false positives...knocks out most of the spam. Granted, I run it on a seperate server then relay the mail to the webserver (webservers shouldn't do spam blocking imo.)

Either way, if you want to see this, as chirpy said, <<Removed reference to old feature request system>>

Like nickn, I get the occassional false-positive, but they're few and far between. Personally, I delete email with spam scores > 20 (which includes any on the block lists I use) and tag and filter to a spam folder anything over 5. Our customers on our hosting servers have the opportunity to do what they wish with either threshold. Something you cannot do with exiscan.

DSPAM does look quite nice, but if you have SpamAssassin already, I'm not sure how much of an advatage it would be to move to a new system. Still, choice is always welcome.
