Hi guys I know cpanel supports apache at present but I would like to see litespeed added also insted of apache as litespeed is faster so they say use this link to compare the difference of their versions

Can you elaborate on how cPanel supporting it directly would be better than LiteSpeed maintaining support for cPanel? Here are their instructions for installing LiteSpeed into a cPanel&WHM environment:

    litespeed_wiki:apache:cpanel [LiteSpeed Wiki]

Because then he could just run /scripts/litespeed and voila, done! No administrative knowledge necessary!

    Seems pointless.

You can run the Litespeed installer and it puts Litespeed on an alternate port to start. Then just use build matching php from WHM page. Then finally just click switch to litespeed and it'll replace the apache scripts with ones that pipe to Litespeed.

About the only thing that litespeed integration could do is improve some randomness you can experience with Litespeed. Although I think you could run into the same sort of issues with Apache as well. It would just be a matter of cpanel exposing the logic of their apache detection though. If that was done fully (some aspects are closed source without documentation) I'm sure the litespeed implemented integration could be improved making it a waste of developer time on cPanel when Litespeed themselves have already made it seamless to run Litespeed.
