Default Make changelog more evident before/after upgrades w/remarks on new settings

As stated in the title of this thread, I want to propose as a feature request a comment that I use to bring to attention from time to time in several feature request: There are new features added to cPanel that are really rich and may not be immediately evident for those not reading these forums nor the changelog at all, i.e., the end date for autoresponders. This kind of great adds to the product should be highlighted in some way before and after upgrading in the "cPanel >> Upgrade to Latest Version" screen. At least, to lower the efforts for cPanel team, a link to the Changelog in that screen, before and after the update process will help to accomplish this.

But if you want to make it cool, putting links to WHM UI with new features in the post update screen will make it great. If the user must relogin to access to these changes, maybe highlighting this list of new features in the first screen will shed more light to discover newly added features, because sysadmin may not have enough time to read it at the moment of post upgrade. This is all because reading the changelog sometimes may be tedious, specially when there are more fixes than new features. Also, this list of highlighted new features should show the changes between the previous version used in the server and the actual one.

    May this be feasible?

And for those people struggling with time, some kind of reminder about new available versions with the link to the Software Releases would be much appreciated. I think the Home page in the WHM is not fully put to good use.

In Enkompass, we have a "Update Now" icon that appears next to the version information (at the top of the screen) when you're logged in as a server administrator and on an outdated version of the software. Clicking on that button brings you to the equivalent of WHM's "Upgrade to Latest Version" screen. Is that something you're looking for here?

As far as where to link to the Software Releases page... perhaps on the "Upgrade to Latest Version" screen in WHM?

That would be great to allow admins to be alerted when new versions are released. A distinctive color to highlight it will do the trick.

Yes! Also, when the update process is finished, the same link would be greatly appreciated to be shown. Just in case.
