HostMasterTips - Understanding Tech Support
Hello, and thanks for your reply, but in doing so I can choose only one of my IP is defined as "Main Shared Virtual Host IP"; what I do is for an IP "number X" domains to another "number Y" domains for IP in yet another "number Z" domains and so on... cPanel on only one can be shared, or not?
I have updated the title of this thread to better reflect the functionality being requested. This may cause more people to express interest in this feature.
Just ran across this and have to ask, what is so bad or misunderstood about the way shared IP's work?
I've seen multiple requests for the ability to set multiple shared IP addresses which is already handled if you create a reseller with a specified IP to use for all of their shared IP sites.
This may not be perfect, but it provides the ability to use more than one shared IP, which is already outside the scope (in my opinion) of the entire shared IP "Virtualhost" concept.
From my perspective, those who want further support of multiple shared IP's are simply wanting dedicated IP's but cannot get one for every site, so why need dedicated IP at all?
