I just noticed this due to a client setting up an email address on a subdomain instead of his main cPanel domain and wondering why he wasn't receiving mail.
If in the user cPanel you go to Mail >> Forwarders >> Add Forwarder, the user's main cPanel domain is prepopulated in the "@" box and, in fact, appears at the top of the dropdown list in that area.
However, if you go to Mail >> Email Accounts >> the list is sorted alphabetically instead and the user is likely to create an email account in a subdomain or on a parked domain, etc., instead of his main cPanel domain as desired. Why are these two sections set up differently? It makes much more sense to either (a) have that field pre-populated with the main cPanel domain instead of an alphabetical list or (b) make both sections of cPanel behave the same.
Is there a way to change this behavior? Should this be refiled as a feature request?
