Official app to manage cPanel&WHM via iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

Hi everyone, I'm using this native Iphone app to manage my whm account:

HostU Lite / HostU - it's developed by a 3rd party, there are a few things you need to do to before you can start using the app. First you need to upload a php file to your server; basically the php file is for authentication (the app will be useless without the script - you can view the script but don't change anything except for the 64 character code that they required you to generate). Based on my usage of the app, it will directly connect to the link where you uploaded the authentication script. The script is also a straighforward implementation based on the cPanel API. I think most of the users who posted here wanted to make sure that no authentication on the developers server or any server other than their own.

You may want to try HostCP app to manage your cPanel accounts - /http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hostcp/id451040876?ls=1&mt=8

It connects directly to your server using cPanel's API and app is password protected so nobody else would be able to use/see your server details except you.

You may want to try /http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/hostcp/id451040876?ls=1&mt=8 HostCP for cPanel management from iOS device until cPanel release their official app.

It uses cPanel official API and directly communicates with your host.

This is not for a host, its for cPanel end users to manage a cPanel account, the name hostcp is a bit misleading.

I can find no way to remove an account once one is added into it. Its a good looking app and the features I tried worked fine. Generating a backup in an emergency while AFK is important and this app does that for you, works fine. Adding an IP to be blocked via htaccess could come in handy and that works fine as well.

I've tried several different apps now for cPanel and WHM and am to the point where I think we should, as a Community, voice our opinions on exactly what we'd like these apps to do so that Developers know what we want or don't.

Actually I kept this name as "Hosting Control Panel" as including cPanel word in app name would be good idea due to trademark/copyright.

To delete an account, it's normal iOS gesture, swipe for delete option. I will place some note on bottom for users to avoid confusion.

Yes, gathering input from community to know what they want would be good idea for both - developers and users too. Users will get their desired features and developers will have clear vision what users want.

I've just read an update from the developers of HostU from twitter that they've submitted a new version of HostU pro with cpanel functions. I think this would be great for managing client accounts. One app to manage both WHM and cPanel functions. Can't wait for this update
