Hello,
Is there an alternate url so that cpanel can be viewed on a iphone?
Or is this something that can't be done as of yet?
Kind regards,

Hello cPanelDavidG,
Thanks for the reply.
Yes it is detecting properly on my iphone, however ideally, I would like the gui to be similar to the cpanel/whm iphone app, where all the text is alot bigger, as currently the gui on my iphone stil requires alot zooming in and out.
Kind regards,
Anthony
an official cpanel iphone app, I think that would be great. There is already an iphone app but it looks like it authenticates via a 3rd party server and I for one decided against exposing my servers to that risk.
Talking to some folks at various conferences and on various IRC channels, it seems like an official cPanel iPhone app (which does not yet exist) could be the ideal solution to this situation. Some of the key things I hear are:
- If you need to do something very quick, a native app is best
- Native iPhone apps are easier to use than fiddling with a mobile browser
Let me know your thoughts.
Hello David,
thanks for the reply.
An iPhone app would be ideal for me to view cpanel from my iPhone, however I still would like to see cpanel having a special GUI for phones so that my clients can access their cpanel on their phone through my site.
Kind regards,
Anthony
an iphone app would be great for suspending / unsuspending accounts and doing other administration tasks like checking services and restarting services. I think that these types of functions should be up front and center because people would likely be using the iphone in order to react to an issue rather than to setup accounts on a daily basis. Having said that other functions like creating accounts should be available as well.
Most of us manage lots of servers so there should be an easy way to pop back and forth between them.
Communication via https should be default.
An optional password to enter the application as a whole with stored passwords for servers would be nice.
That's all I can come up with off the top of my head, please add to this list guys.
A cPanel/WHM app for the iPhone would be SWEET!

I have merged your post with the existing feature request thread discussing the same topic; for reference, here is the existing thread: Access/Manage cPanel and WHM via Official App for iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch - cPanel Forums

I think it would be great to also include Android users too.

That would be a separate app since iPhone apps cannot run on Android (please correct me if I am incorrect in this statement). So I can help justify the use of resources to achieve the goal of an Android cPanel app, please create a separate feature request for this including all the features you would like to see in the Android application.
Normally I'd just split this post to its own thread, but that sentence alone wouldn't help draw much attention for others to support the request. Just trying to nudge things along in a way that helps to see your desired functionality become reality.
I would like to add my vote to the request for an OFFICIAL cPanel app for the iPhone. An easy step to take would be the purchase of the current unofficial app for iPhone (Control Panel Application for iPhone :: App Designed to work with cPanel® :: App Store) which apparently already offers most of the desired options mentioned on this list. The only problem is that it currently has an issues with the version of cPanel being run on my webhost and I'm not yet certain what the issue is and therefore cannot test the program.
I hope that any forthcoming official app would come soon.
Thank you for paying attention to the users.
Honestly I would rather see a ground up effort from cPanel, I have checked out that app and I do not like the way that it works.
Wants:
ipad compatibility
Multiple server access (maybe a server browser)
cPanel/WHM access with all current functionality
App password (single password to access app)
In the ipad version it would be nice to have multiple WHM's open in multiple tabs

Count me in for this. About the app mentioned in the thread: I don't feel very comfortable using a third party app, and it looks like it's not been updated for months.
