Default Request: Add interface in WHM for mod_qos

mod_qos is a very useful tool to protect Apache from attacks. It gives some fine-grained opportunities to scale the number of used connections and to defend an attack according to bandwidth limits. Even though CSF has some of those features it isn't really effective. Its good to have mod_sec in EasyApache; however it lacks an interface to configure the settings, so not many are able to use this feature. Please add an interface in WHM to to limit the number of simultaneous connections per IP, and/or set it to lower bandwidth when you've come close to your maximum client count.

Mind explaining why QOS is better than CSF to stop or prevent possible DDoS?

By IP do you mean incoming IP or the VirtualHost IP?

By maximum client count do you mean the Apache MaxClients setting?

We have CSF on our Servers , with SYNFLOOD and CT_LIMIT activated .

But it seems that CSF does not stop some APACHE DOS ( those who raise error MAXCLIENTS reached in Apache logs )

This has been fixed by installing MOD_QOS

    So definitely +1 very good.

+1 It definitely helps with some attacks. Just a basic interface with some common settings pre-set would be grand.

Does the mod_qos default settings do anything or do you have to configure it?
