Lightbulb Warn USER when mailbox nearly full

We would need the USER rather than the account admin contact to be warned when they are near the limit of their mailbox storage.

Ideally, they would receive a warning at 80%, 90%, 95% and 100% with the value in the subject. (ideally, these thresholds could be setup in a .conf file)

This way, the user can take action in their own email client setup rather than the having all the burden put on the top admin of the account.

    thanks!

The reason they are sent to the admin instead of the user is because the user generally does not have access to cpanel to set their own quota. Do all of your email account users log into cpanel?

Default User needs to get warned, not the admin

They don't have access to cpanel. We don't want that.

The problem is: if an account has 100 email accounts, and 10% tend to fill quickly, it will be a full time job just to contact those individuals about the problem. While if the users would be warned via email, the information would get to the right place right away.

    thanks!

I once saw a custom horde where the user could see how full his inbox was in % and in mb.

I am not sure if it was cPanel, but I think it would be a great add-on for cpanel or perhaps by horde.

No, but if they are aware that their mailbox is 80% full, they will probably empty it a bit or contact the host to upgrade their account.

This saves admin some time and can perhaps even generate some revenue, as more people might upgrade their hosting account.

But really, the system is now sending a warning to the admin VIA EMAIL. It should not be so hard to send the same message to the owner of the mailbox at the same time.
