I have experienced on various occasions over many years and various OS, browsers, etc. the issue I experienced tonight where an update will appear to hang and not refresh its status on the screen.

Instead of the admin then having to recall where the path to the log file is located or google it or open a support ticket, why not simply include the path right on that screen? It is such a simple add - just a line of text and it will save so much time and trouble for admins as well as eliminate needless support tickets.

Even better would be to email a status email at the start of the update and at the end of the update. That way the user can be sure it successfully started and completed without searching out the log file.

And/or you can provide a link to the log file so that it can be viewed directly via whm if the window refresh failed to update.

The underlying issue should of course in some way be addressed so that this does not happen.

You can apply the same request to easyapache update and and any other updates which update status to the screen similarly.
