To manage the files on those sites, just login how you normally would to maintain files on your main website, then navigate to the directory where you told cPanel/WHM to place the contents of the add-on directory. By default, this will be a folder in public_html.
Dave,
Now there is the problem. I do not recall where I put those files. I have looked through public html and found nothing. I was hoping for a search box to search all my files at once. Is there a faster way ?
David,
This is all I see on my file manager page no search box anywhere on the page above or below. I appreciate all your help.

Gilbert, that's the legacy File Manager. We offer a newer version as well under the File Manager heading.
It's pretty likely that your addon domain will be stored in /public_html/addondomainname
Good morning David,
I haven't been able to find a file named addondomainname under public.html. Is there a link to go to so I can update my cPanel ? I do not see a newer version of file manager on my cPanel here is what I have for choices:

Sounds like you are still using the 'X' theme for cPanel. We introduced the X3 theme which provides the functionality of cPanel 11. I'd ask your host to change you to the X3 theme so you can take advantage of the new features.
If you PM me the list of directories in public_html, I'll try to help you sort things out.
Dave,
I will ask my hosting co. to change to X3
I have to look dumb how do I pm you the list ? I don't know what a pm list is as a matter of fact.![]()
You can click on this link to send a private message (PM) to Dave:
http://forums.cpanel.net/private.php?do=newpm&u=2118
Checked with Hostgator and they have changed to X3 already. Don't know why I can't see that new file manager.
My cPanel just changed I think Hostgator had something to do with it.

One related question here.
When I add new addon domain, there are 2 directories created, one directory with just a name, and another with full domain name. For example:
cpanel
cpanel.net
Why is that so and in which one I need to upload materials ?
When an addon is created, so is a subdomain for that addon so you can access the subdomain while DNS is resolving. You can set the directories the same when creating the addon, or the javascript on the page will choose the subdomain addon location for you.
Check ls -la in public_html as I'm fairly certain that one is a symlink to the other.
