To manage the files on those sites, just login how you normally would to maintain files on your main website, then navigate to the directory where you told cPanel/WHM to place the contents of the add-on directory. By default, this will be a folder in public_html.

    Default Addons

    Dave,

Now there is the problem. I do not recall where I put those files. I have looked through public html and found nothing. I was hoping for a search box to search all my files at once. Is there a faster way ?

In File Manager, there is a search box you can use to search for all of your files on your web space quickly.

Gilbert, that's the legacy File Manager. We offer a newer version as well under the File Manager heading.

It's pretty likely that your addon domain will be stored in /public_html/addondomainname

Sounds like you are still using the 'X' theme for cPanel. We introduced the X3 theme which provides the functionality of cPanel 11. I'd ask your host to change you to the X3 theme so you can take advantage of the new features.

If you PM me the list of directories in public_html, I'll try to help you sort things out.

You can click on this link to send a private message (PM) to Dave:

Checked with Hostgator and they have changed to X3 already. Don't know why I can't see that new file manager.

My cPanel just changed I think Hostgator had something to do with it.

    One related question here.
When I add new addon domain, there are 2 directories created, one directory with just a name, and another with full domain name. For example:

    cpanel
    cpanel.net

Why is that so and in which one I need to upload materials ?

When an addon is created, so is a subdomain for that addon so you can access the subdomain while DNS is resolving. You can set the directories the same when creating the addon, or the javascript on the page will choose the subdomain addon location for you.

Check ls -la in public_html as I'm fairly certain that one is a symlink to the other.
