Firewalls and security

Anyone have any recommendations for good addons / scripts for a new cpanel user. I have looked around and their is alot of programs out their, but i could not tell the difference if i wanted to. Are they necessary part of having cpanel? Any thoughts?

here there is a catalog with addons some of them are free of charge.None of them are a necessary part for operating cpanel since they are third party application
depends what you want to do there is a plugin as well and how much money you want to invest on a server
ConfigServer Security and Firewall and ConfigServer ModSecurity Control should ne good to start dealing with
