Default monitoring installed software (wordpress, joomla, drupal, phpbb, etc.)

Is anyone aware of any scripts or software we can use to monitor our systems for installations of software like: wordpress, joomla, drupal, phpbb, zencart, etc.?

The goal would be to notify us if someone has an out-of-date install of the software so we can take action (notify them they need to update, eventually suspend account, etc.).

Anyone aware of a tool to scan home directories looking for software and reporting back the version?

    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hi there,

I saw this software mentioned on the forums here quite a while ago and recommended it to someone else recently:

    Old Script Finder

The person whom I recommended it to sounded pretty happy with it.

Some of the automated script installers such as Fantastico have the option to automatically notify you about outdated applications as well.
