Ok this a wierd one IE wont let me get to anything with cpanel in the url

I have a new desktop, no matter what i do it will not let me in to my cpanel
I get the log in box fine, but when i fill in the passwod etc it just hangs and eventually come up with a page not found.

I have to use my laptop to do everything on my servers

Any suggestions

Have you tried a different browser?

Do you have firewall software on your machine? if so maybe thats blocking the ports cpanel uses?

Tools > Internet Options > Privacy tab > Sites Button > add/allow site. Shouldn't be needed, but try it.
If that's not it, it's your firewall or some other protection on this new rig blocking you. Easy to test, shut it down for a moment and try to get to your cPanel.

What login box are you getting? The .htaccess I guess.

Sounds like security is too tight on the new computer.
