Unbanning in cpanel

Hey, I have a small problem with Cpanel that noone seems to know how to fix.

I exceeded the acceptable amount of login attempts on my website which is on my friends server, this has lead to me bieng banned. This wouldn;t be a problem due to my friend owning the server becuase he can just unban me... But unfortunately he doesn;t know how, Hes been running servers for years and hes not to sure how to unban someone who has been banned via failed login attempts. So all i need to know is what needs to be done for me to become unbanned

I know its badly worded but im kind of tired explaining it in detail and punctuation.

No way of knowing what sort of security he has installed on the server, but lets try the basics.
Tell him to go to Security Center in WHM, then find cPHulk Brute Force Protection, and then find the Failed Logins section to see if your IP is listed. If so remove it there.

You could disable all of those security measures and install a firewall like csf. That would give you a central place to look for and modify settings.

If your friend has installed any firewall in his/her server then he/she needs to check if your local machine’s IP address is not blocked there.

What was suggested is the basic security. Ask him the name of his firewall. Or better yet, have his host answer your question.
