Arrow High load when suspending account.

    Hello,

I have recently started getting a very bad problem when an account is being suspended on my cpanel server. When an account is being suspended, the load skyrockets and a lot of quotaon -a jobs begin to run. I have read about similiar issues on this board, but couldnt find a suitable solution for me. Can you please advise? Thank you!

    Regards,
    Michel

I have the same issue since a while but only one quota -1 process but takes a lot of CPU usage.

Any luck on what to prevent this?

Uncheck the following in Tweak Settings:

Use Safe Quota Setting (quotas will be disabled, adjusted, and then re-enabled). This option should be enabled if you are having problems with lost disk quotas or other quota system corruption. Under software raid and other circumstances enabling this option will degrade server performance.

Thanks for the clue. I too have seen the CPU shoot up a load average of a whopping 15 points or more when suspending accounts. So based on the advice in this forum I have done these two things:

Disable Disk Quota display caching - is now CHECKED (it was not checked before).

Use Safe Quota Setting - is now UN-CHECKED (it was checked before).

I'm glad I ran into this post. (Sheesh!)

Update, okay, this is really confusing language:

Disable Disk Quota display caching (WHM will cache disk usage which may result in the display of disk quotas being up to 15 minutes behind the actual disk usage. Disabling this may result in a large performace degradation.)

Now I don't know whiter this should be checked or unchecked for best performance. Anyone?

Leave it Unchecked. If you check it, you: "Disable Disk Quota display caching..."
