Default SQL doing Too Much Process & taking too much Resources

My VPS keep overload due to a SQL process. Process: 235

    The process is:

    Code:
    /usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --log-error=/var/lib/mysql/server145.mydomain.com.err --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server145.mydomain.com.pid

It takes up pretty much 90-95% of the cpu and memory at times if I do not kill the process. But even after I kill the process it comes back and immediately hogs up cpu load again causing it to go into loads of 27.00 or higher ( I have 4cpus ).

    Any solution?

    Thanks

When I'm trying to restart the SQL

    Waiting for mysql to restart...............finished.

    mysqld_safe (/bin/sh /usr/bin/mysqld_safe --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server145.mydomain.com.pid) running as root with PID 1529
    mysqld (/usr/sbin/mysqld --basedir=/ --datadir=/var/lib/mysql --user=mysql --log-error=/var/lib/mysql/server145.mydomain.com.err --pid-file=/var/lib/mysql/server145.mydomain.com.pid) running as mysql with PID 25605

mysql has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was "mysql is not running").
    What should I do?

Try and restart MySQL a couple of times including other services that are apparently consuming high resources under "WHM > Process Manager". If the service doesn't respond in a reasonable amount of time, cPanel may report it as a failed restart.
Check "Show MySQL Processes" in WHM to find out which MySQL queries are running at the time of high load and then you can start optimizing your queries.

1 solution works for all problems. Trying harder!

    Hello,

You can install MyTop on your VPS or MySQL Administrator (GUI Tools) on your local system to monitor the threads and queries which are consuming high resources. Also try to optimize my.cnf of your VPS.
