Blank pages in IIS: what causes it?

Hello,

This issue happened a couple of times this week with me. Example: yesterday a customer requested me to create a redirect from domain.com/webmail to Mail Enable webmail.

I did it by creating a folder called webmail and placing an index.html with meta redirect.

The issue is that as soon as i placed this file, his entire website started to show blank pages.

I kept trying to solve this and identify what caused the problem but it was only solved when i restarted IIS.

Today another customer reported the same thing. Blank pages and them a restart make it works.

I'm wondering what causes this problem? Anyone else having it?
