Do Enkompass reseller accounts allow automated backups?

One of the features that I would love to have from my current Windows hosting provider (that uses Helm 3)
is something that could allow me to do automated backups of my customers data.

I found this option in Enkompass as you can see on this URL http://ir.pe/3wf8
however I would like that someone who uses Enkompass could confirm it.

Yes, it does.

Enkompass manages backups through Roles assigned to each account. The default role, Standard WSO, does not
include the account for backups. The All File Management feature needs to be selected along with the desired interval(s): Daily, Weekly, Monthly.

Resellers need to have the backup delegation features added via their Role in Reseller Center
Delegate Backups
Delegate Backup Daily
Delegate Backup Weekly
Delegate Backup Monthly

It is possible to be selective with which features are enabled. For instance, if the server admin wants resellers to have
only monthly backups (or wants to use the others as an upgrade features) Daily and Weekly could be excluded.

The reseller account will still have to have the Backup Roles assigned by its parent admin in order for the reseller's account
to be backed up.

this response. What do you think?

Enkompass packages do not support remote FTP backups. You may want to consider Plesk hosting packages which do have the option to schedule backups and backup to FTP accounts. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I really would like to use Enkompass, but need a way to make offsite backup of files.

This is the final response I got about this issue

If you run backups from the control panel it will store the backup to your home folder under the folder \cPanel_data\cpBackup\ . But at the moment their is no backup scheduler for clients so you would have to create a backup manually each time you need one

Does this mean they aren't delegating anything more than Backup Tools via Roles?

I wanted to get a bit more granular on the backup system.

When a user has the Backup Role applied their backups will show up in the Account backups folder listed
in the EnkompassConfig text file that is created at the time of install. c:\Backups (by default) on the
Enkompass server. These happen automatically so long as backups are enabled in SAI and the role is applied.

The WSO user will not have access to that backup. They can generate a backup on their own from their WSO panel if they
they are granted a backup role though. This is the backup that is stored on their home\cPanel_data\cpBackup folder

Backup Tools will allow them to manually create a backup they can access.
Backup Daily/Weekly/Monthly generates the C:\Backups located backup.

User generated backups are stored on the data share we hope is stored on fault tolerant hardware but realize this isn't
always the case. As previously mentioned, the server admin gets to choose where to store the automatically generated backups.

What roles would be necessary so he can make backups of the accounts he owns?

It depends on how you want the backups run.

The some combination of following Roles have to be given to the Reseller in order for him/her to pass
them along to accounts they create.

Delegate Backups
Delegate Backup Daily
Delegate Backup Weekly
Delegate Backup Monthly

Delegate Backups will allow Backup Tools to be given to the end user and allow them to do their own backups.
The other 3 are for the top tier admin level backups.

A server admin could always move one of the scheduled backups to the end user's folder and the end user
could do a restore at their leisure. The end user still has to have Backup Tools.

We have a demo server if you'd like to play around with the interface and see how the inclusion/exclusion of roles
effect things at the reseller and user level. The environment is reset ever couple hours to give a clean slate.
