Problem Creating Account with smarter email

Hello,
if I try to create a new web space enabling smarter email I have this problem:

Failed to create the new account: name bladecen, domain bladecenter.it.
Method 'CreateAccount' from contract 'IServerAdministratorService' failed.
There was an error resolving or connecting to the resource. This error most likely is a result of a DNS or network error. More info: The requested name
is valid, but no data of the requested type was found

System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:17001

No problem if creating space web without smarteremail selected.

hi

try rebooting your smartermail server. also make sure your logging in using the AD login and that the server is connected to the domain controller.

I restarted the service several times but without positive results.
use the admin user created during installation of the email server, but it seems that not communicating properly

any ideas?

from the enkompass server (control panel) can you browse in internet explorer: SM-Hostname:9998 does it load smartermail web interface?

yes without problem,
only creating account with enkompass with smartermail included not work ( and show error posted)

i have try version 8 and 9 ...

i use SM9 enterprise with enkompass, previously v8 and both work fine. r u on skype? if so if you want i could remote your machine and have a look through the settings on enkompass/RDC and help u fix it. No cost.. am just happy to help

The error looks like either firewall or a networking issue. Have you tried temporarily disabling Windows firewall to see if it will work?

i helped the guy over skype & RDC. problem was the FQDN didnt work, changed it to localhost to fix it for him, and this then worked. When they move to production i advised to change it back to a working hostname or IP.

I still have this problem with enable smarteremail when creating new account or add email features to an existing account

When you installed SmarterMail, did you change the default path for account storage?

no not change default installation without no changes
