Unable to obtain a valid license; contact cPanel

When I try to install the enkompass, I receive an error as below.



How to overcome this? I try to send support ticket to cPanel support but it seems it will charge me for USD 65. Please clarify if the enkompass license is still not yet free for 30 days? What should I do if having the error "Unable to obtain a valid license; contact cPanel"

You did of course register on the cPanel store and obtain the license first, correct?
Or are you simply installing Enkompass for the first time?

I'm unclear on this from both of these posts.

Ok, I don't understand this... I have the licence as an external IP (41.66.xxx.xxx) and then the server uses an internal address of 192.168.x.x which gets Nat'd through the Firewall... Does it not work like this?

Internet is working fine, the installation is simple and everything goes through fine until the end where the error pops up as stated above.

PS: Sorry for reviving an old thread, but I have been struggling for two days... Tried uninstalling and re-installing the Dot net 3.5.

Notes:
I have a receipt of the licence with the Publicly visible External IP (Static)
I am running it on Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit (Virtual on VMWare ESXi 5)
All the pre-requisites are done, only the installation of the software remains... (No mailenable or anything else needed yet. Will add later when testing)

Make sure port 2089 is open in the firewall for the license check.

Ok I tried that, opened the ports in & out, TCP & UDP on 2089.

Installed and got the following error again:


Is there a way to see if the licence is attached or not? How does the licencing process work?

I have a ticket number already: cPanel Ticket #2115625

Here are some items to check:

1. Go to http://cpanel.net/myip, is the correct IP returned?

2. Make sure the time on the DC is accurate and slave servers are syncing to it. If the time is even a few minutes behind, the license check may fail.

3. nslookup auth.cpanel.net
should return: : 208.74.121.85, 208.74.123.34, 208.74.121.86, 69.90.250.77

4. telnet auth.cpanel.net 2089
should return: "200 cPanel License Service Version 28.3 on 'auth5'"
