Ram usage for recommended system is set to 8GB and minimum 4GB, don't you think its too much? couldn't you optimize it to use lower amounts?

Howdy,
The memory suggestion of 4 to 8 gigs is assuming someone wants to run, IIS, active directory, mail, SQL server, MySQL server, and Enkompass on the same server.
Enkompass doesn't use this much memory but you might need this much memory to get everything on a single system.
Thanks!
but we've tested it on idle machine, and saw much more than normal memory page usage from enkompass itself. could you check this on 1 or 2 days running system?
Eric, the usage seems getting high after a day or two. I dont know what cause the problem, or if its the behavior. if you give me where to look, I can see whats wrong with it, and give specific details too.
I almost forgot. We got old dual xeon with 2GB ram + SQL2005 + MySql + ME, and over 200 active website, by another CP rather than Enkompass, that works like a charm. so I still think 4GB~8GB for such a system is too high...
We've changed nothing and everything is by the way it was.
Unfortunately we completely removed enkompass from server and installed another cp to host some sites in production status.
Will try to install another server when we got the new one.
Unfortunately, no more testing here. We only will have R2 from now on, that enkompass wont install on them.
I was looking into my task manager ... and I got that my pc was using 120 MB as paging file while about 150 MB of my ram was still not used. I wonder why is it so? And if I want all of my ram to be utilized .. then what should I do?
After cross checking a few places, the consensus seems to be that
despite this article referring to 64bit 2003 and XP this guideline holds true
for server 2008 as well.
How to determine the appropriate page file size for 64-bit versions of Windows
Windows Domain Controllers and DFS Replication, Certificate and ADAM/LDS Servers are not supported without a configured pagefile. Because the algorithm the LSASS database cache depends on the "transition pages repurposed/second" perfmon counter, a pagefile is required to make sure that the database cache is capable to release memory if memory is requested by other services or applications.
too bad that i've nothing in my hands to test this further more...
