Howdy,

We use WCF to make all of our function calls, anyone can use it with authentication and so can you.

We don't have a lot of documentation about it (yet) but we have given a few talks on it at the conference last year, and this year too.

Slides can be acquired here:

TrainingSlides09 < AllDocumentation/TrainingResources < TWiki

Thanks!

Using Enkompass compared to cPanel is like going to a MacDonald’s in France, sure they’ve got the same things we have over here, but it’s a little different.

no HTTPS + XML APIs for Enkompass?

From the posts here, basically there is not going to be any HTTPS + XML APIs for Enkompass like there is for cPanel? Nobody can re-use (or extends/modify) their existing management tools for cPanel to manage Enkompass machines? Everything has be written again from scratch and deployed on a windows platform?

Howdy,

Unfortunately no. The API for Enkompass is based off of WCF which can use SOAP, we actually use or API to do every click on the page so you can do anything we can do from restarting a site to creating accounts, or even adding servers to your Enkompass domain.

Thanks!

Per this in the prior post by Eric(E):

>> The API for Enkompass is based off of WCF which can use SOAP

It would not be particularly difficult then on the Enkompass side of things for you guys to vend out at least a portion of the APIs as SOAP services then?

Howdy,

It's just a different endpoint in WCF, that's it.

Thanks!
