So how are we doing with getting dkim support into cpanel? Does it exist in any way in EDGE? I understand that edge is scary and all that. But I am just looking to use it for myself. I have my own VPS with a few domains and all mail I send to Yahoo ends up in the spam folder.
I've just had a look at the latest development information on EXIM.
EXIM v4.69 had experimental support that relied on a third party library.
Under development (but practically completed) is a native EXIM implementation of DKIM that does not depend on any external libraries. This was completed around the start of July 2009, and some bugfixes were added in September 2009 as well.
(see exim-cvs for the code which was committed and see the dates).
DKIM in EXIM has always been targetted as a v4.70 feature.
I couldn't find any notion of when 4.70 might be released but there is a thread discussing it in the users list:
[exim] Exim development
At least it appears to be getting close now...
any update?

Have you read the EXIM mailing list?
If you did, you would notice that EXIM is now up to 4.70 release candidate 3.
[exim] Exim 4.70: Release Candidate 3
Which means it won't be long it will considered for inclusion into the test versions of cpanel.
Hello
we have a issue with email sento to @yahoo
in any server the header of email sent to @yahoo is
from=md.mydomain.com; domainkeys=pass (ok); from=; dkim=neutral (no sig)
in other server is
from=nr.mydomains.com; domainkeys=pass (ok);
from=nr.mydomains.com; dkim=neutral (no sig)
is correct the second way.. but in most server the from is empty .. ??
any idea about this ?
Thanks

EXIM v4.70 was released in early November 2009.
EXIM v4.71 with some bugfixes was released on 24 Nov 2009.
Looking forward to seeing this implemented in Cpanel EDGE because of the DKIM support.
Now that EXIM v4.7 is release (we are up to v4.71) could the CPanel implementation staff please consider the inclusion of this into EDGE.
EXIM v4.7 implements a highly sought after feature: DKIM.
DKIM basically implements a facility that "signs" your email with a digital signature. That digital signature is used by many email providers (eg. Yahoo Mail, Google Mail etc.) to determine whether your email actually came from your mail server or whether it was "faked". The "faking" method is often used by spammers.
Without DKIM, we estimate that around 5% of our email is determined to be "Spam" by such mail servers even though we have followed all of their guidelines as to not making our mail be identified as "spam". I think DKIM will fix this remaining 5%.
I look forward to hearing the good news about its implementation!
Cpanel uses EXIM v4.69 which does not support DKIM - it only supports the outdated "domainkeys" scheme. EXIM v4.70 (and now v4.71) supports DKIM - hopefully cPanel will integrate this soon.

I second this request.
Missing DKIM support is one of the things keeping me from switching some custom mail systems to cPanel (beside greylisting and ipv6 support). Too dangerous with all the spam blocking measures some larger hosts are taking.
Well, 7 months left on the license.
