Thumbs up Additional Options for 'Manage SSH Keys'

It would be very nice to have WHM and cPanel provide an ability to add options to the keys being generated, keys being imported, and keys being authorized.

For example, I use From="xx.xx.xx.xx,xx.xx.xx.xx" before the key to allow my servers to rsync to each other without a passphrase. However I have to use SSH to manage that. I would prefer I didn't have to do that.

    Thanks,
    Frank

I am quite sure you can merge keys and then set up a cron to rsync automatically.

I think my suggestion has been misunderstood.

If you make changes to your .ssh/authorized_keys file to include options like 'From', WHM and cPanel will show the key as unauthorized. They don't support those special options.

The 'From' is just one example. I personally use it for between specific servers and ensure because From will ensure that only specific IPs can use that key. It is great because I won't need to worry about Passphrases and scripts.

Can this thread be removed or closed? It is confusing and I am going to develop a more though suggestion.

    Thanks!
