    Default Apache 2.2.14 Released

The Apache HTTP Server Project is proud to announce the release of version 2.2.14 of the Apache HTTP Server ("Apache"). This version is principally a security and bugfix release.

This version of Apache is a major release and the start of a new stable branch, and represents the best available version of Apache HTTP Server. New features include Smart Filtering, Improved Caching, AJP Proxy, Proxy Load Balancing, Graceful Shutdown support, Large File Support, the Event MPM, and refactored Authentication/Authorization.

A bug fix release shouldn't take long to push to EA. They put through PHP 5.2.10 quickly, and it broke quite a few things (like any script still using the old $HTTP_*_VARS arrays). Though that is not cPanel's fault, but rather the PHP team who do that crap over and over again.

I didnt say it should take a long time... however I would rather it be fully tested than just pushed out

I've asked today via a ticket and been told the QA thing. Still not definite word of what's happening with it.

    I've just had a response:

    Hello,

There is a small backup in our QA department due to our recent push of 11.25 to CURRENT. I am showing that there is an open QA issue regarding 2.2.14 and initial testing has begun as of 10/09. As far as any additional information beyond that, I'm unable to assist.

I'm not sure why they have prioritised an enhanced version of cPanel over a secured version of Apache? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
