Backup timeouts in scripts/cpbackup [Case 48571]

I opened a support ticket about this before seeing this thread. ticketid=1332777

This is a new issue for us however. We didn't have this problem before. But we have this problem for a few weeks.

Backup failed completely last night with this setting. log file just stops at:

The backup shouldn't fail with that setting in /etc/pure-ftpd.conf file, so it cannot be that specific setting that would cause it. Try running a forced backup again:

/scripts/cpbackup --force

If that doesn't work and you still do not get a successful backup, please open up a ticket.

we are getting the same problem, have regressed back to a stable build and set timeout value to 50... seems this is on one server only at present, is there any update on this???

The case to change the value is set for 11.32, which has no precise estimate for when it would be available for any of the production builds. As such, you may wish to submit a ticket for us to investigate further.

well cpanel had a very prompt look into this, seems theres an issue with firewall, when disabled the backup worked fine... time to go and look at the csf firewall config.

As of version 11.31.1.2, there is a new setting in WHM's Configure Backups screen:

FTP Backup Timeout -- in seconds (Remote FTP Backup Only)

I finally got this updated to 11.32 and i can finally say that i have working backups again.
