Bug or Feature Request : Web Stats

I am using desktop software (http://www.surfstats.com) for checking stats. Now for this software to work it is asking for the path where the web site logs resides. I looked in all the directories within that domain but was unable to find it.

I was wondering if anyone can help me out and tell me where am I doing wrong? or would this be something I can put as feature enhacement at BugZill ?

But what about other people on server. I mean, I cannot offer everyone root access, so they have only domain level access. So the software will look for something like

mydomainname.com/logdir/file.log
or
mydomainname.com/logdir/file.gz

Any ideas, how to do this?

Website logs can be downloaded to your personal computer from inside the cpanel, the &Raw Access Logs& section. Simply download them to your home pc and run them through your stat program.

You can have the logs created in your home dir if you like but you have to edit httpd.conf to do it.

look for the VirtualHost for the domain

change &CustomLog domlogs/domain.com combined& to the path you want.
