Default [case 45899] RapidSSL - new cabundle

    Hello,

It appears that a new/different cabundle is required for RapidSSL certs. They used to automatically fill in correctly. It's not a huge deal, but it's a bit of a pain to have to paste in the cert and the paste in the bundle. Can we get the new bundle to auto-fill?

    Thanks

Our developers are currently working on this. I do not have an ETA and it is not certain if this will be in the next few releases, but I thought you would like to know we are working on this.

Default [Case 45899] SSL certificate problems

This morning one of my cpanel servers started using an expired ssl certificate for no particular reason. I installed a new rapid ssl certificate last week and all was working well until today. I went into the ssl service manager in WHM and all the certs checked out. I decided to restart cpanel and the problem went away. Has this happened to anyone. Is there a way I can prevent this from happening in the future?

Lately I have been having problems installing RapidSSL certificates. If I do not install root ca certificates with the Rapid SSL certificates, user get a a warning when visiting their secure url. This was never an issue in the past and I know some things have changed browserwise in the last few months with chained root certificates. I guess my question is cpanel used to load the ca bundle automatically, no I have to insert it every time. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

We have an internal case #45899 regarding the RapidSSL certificates not pulling up a cabundle on installation attempts. The case is currently in Quality Assurance for testing, so I cannot state when that will be released. It does have backmerge set for the case when it is entirely pushed through the process into production. I've added this forum thread to the case to bring further attention to the issue.

I think there is a bug when installing a new certificate onto cPanel. It no longer appears to restart cPanel best I can tell and a manual restart is necessary. Noted this when we recently had to update certificates on a large number of machines we had to issue restarts for the certificate to take affect.

I attempted to reproduce this issue by installing a new SSL for cPanel/WHM/Webmail in WHM > Manage Service SSL Certificates area, but cPanel did get restarted on 11.28.86-EDGE_51183 for the SSL.

If anyone is still having this issue where installing a new SSL for cPanel/WHM/Webmail is not resulting in cPanel being restarted, please provide the cPanel version number and then open up a ticket with us:

    Code:
    cat /usr/local/cpanel/version
A ticket can be submitted from WHM > Support Center > Contact cPanel or using the link in my signature. If you do open up a ticket, please post the ticket number here.
