[Feature Request] Reseller Package Skels

The current system we have now for creating reseller accounts seems to me to be rather clumsy. Each time we create an account, we have to check a bunch of boxes.

We also run the risk of messing something up and assigning the user root access or something by mistake. Giving 'all features' with only the tick of one checkbox is pretty much unacceptable.

It would be a lot easier for all of us if there was some sort of skel system set up for reseller accounts, including nameservers. For instance, I could set up a package that would create an account with ns1.theirdomain.com as the primary nameserver and choose which features I give to that package ONCE.

I think this is a really necessary feature. What do you guys think?

Well.... I think all and every user want something like a "Reseller Package" or something, or a way to pre-define some sandard options for resellers ....
But as you see.... nothing has happened.

Not to mention the time consuption when creating a reseller account, with the change of mistakes, etc.

There are lot of things that are bad with resellers....

What you mentioned is one of them ...
another could be for example ... when you give a reseller "Quota Modification" or "Bandwidth Limiting" ... they could use ALL your server resources... (the limits are only for the accounts created with the plans, and respond only to the plan quota/bw ... anyone could use Bandwidth limiting and assing 500GB to one site or all sites...)
another is the fact that when you make able a reseller to "Modify an Account" ... you end with a different "Create Account" with lot of options .... when you maybe just wanted to make the reseller able to change "language! ... domain! ... username! ... or even theme!!" ....
not to mention that every account is created by default with english lang (there's no option to create them using another... you NEED the second modify step always...)

So... I hope Nick/Admin or whatever put hands on this ...
Or tell me how to setup secure a reseller, without allowing them to go over limits, but allowing them to modify at least theme or language on a domain....

Ahh, yes, there's another thing.

'Modify an account'.

This should be more full featured for the reseller AND 'reseller safe'. Meaning it doesn't circumvent any rulesets we've put into place.

Resellers should be able to modify their accounts as they see fit, not have to create packages and upgrade/downgrade things. Doing it that way is just plain clunky.
