Hello,
Any ETA to 11.32?..
If that is the case then any idea on updates estimates of 11.34 and 11.36? Quoting cPanel FAQ:
I don't think that is realistic anymore and I'd assume earliest would be q2 2012 based on current trends.Quote:
Our goal is to complete IPv6 support by cPanel & WHM version 11.36. We expect version 11.36 to be available by the end of calendar year 2011.
Just a friendly reminder that all ETAs are subject to any unforeseen quality assurance issues that arise during software development that is subjected to substantial quality testing.
If you are making business plans to target specific dates, I advise waiting until the target version has propagated to the CURRENT update tier. Most that use cPanel&WHM use the RELEASE update tier (the default setting).
MySQL 5.5 is now supported as of version 11.31.1.2. To see if this version has propagated to your update tier, visit Downloads - cPanel Inc.
When is RELEASE build coming?
As soon as an ETA on the RELEASE build is determined, it will be announced via - cPanel Inc.
I am using Innodb tables and i want to ask what i have to do before or after whm upgrade to mysql 5.5 to be ok and working?
Do i have to edit my.cnf and what exactly?
Thank you
MySQL will not automatically upgrade to 5.5 as part of the upgrade. You need to go to the MySQL Upgrade page in WHM (after upgrading WHM) to be able to upgrade to 5.5 if you want to. Otherwise, you'll stay on the major version of MySQL you are currently running (e.g. 5.0, 5.1 etc.)
folks upgrading may want to read all that is available at MySQL :: MySQL 5.5 Reference Manual :: 2.11.1.1 Upgrading from MySQL 5.1 to 5.5
@cPanelDavidG
Yes i know and i want to upgrade it but after the upgrade from whm it will work out of the box for my Innodb tables or i have to adjust anything?
@eva2000
Thanks for the link.
Thank you
Ken had a post earlier in the thread the answered a variety of upgrade questions: http://forums.cpanel.net/f145/mysql-...tml#post905872 - note, you'll notice later in the thread that we are now defaulting to MyISAM rather than MySQL 5.5's manufacturer defaults.
Not to be a pain, but I really want to sort this over my christmas break. Do you think 11.31.1.2+ is likely to hit release by Dec 25 2011? If not, will it be current a week or two before?
I know what the E in ETA means, but give me some hope!
As soon as that information is available, it will be posted to - cPanel Inc.
Note, we typically do not do releases the last 2 weeks of the calendar year just because so many people that time of year tend to be away from the office. Just thought I'd get that out there for people looking to do things during their end-of-year vacation.
