I believe the initial integration and testing are being performed with Horde Groupware Webmail Edition 1.2.5. We'll ensure it's the latest version before merging into 11.25.1.

Horde Groupware Webmail edition was merged into 11.25.1 and will be in the next EDGE build (and hence succeeding builds). The version merged is 1.2.5; version 1.2.6 is being examined for merging.

The process from edge to current/release/etc is pretty standard and takes a few weeks.

There are several posts regarding this idea.
Some people like
Zimbra --> http://forums.cpanel.net/f145/zimbra...ghlight=zimbra
others Zarafa --> http://forums.cpanel.net/f145/zafara...ghlight=zimbra
and others Atmail --> http://forums.cpanel.net/f334/cpanel...il-111061.html
however there is no clear decision yet.
This work in progress will help address requests for individual webmail apps:

The requests that involve custom MTAs (e.g. Zimbra) must be dealt with differently on a technical level. Currently, cPanel/WHM only supports Exim for MTA functionality.
Any indication of when we can expect the new horde to be in the CURRENT release?
When 11.25.1 reaches CURRENT. We haven't determined an ETA for this.Originally Posted by johnburk
The data will be carried over, however this is a completely new version of Horde. It is possible and likely that some preferences and settings do not convert. User data ( calendars, notes, tasks, etc) should be fine. In the event data is lost during conversion due to conflicts or incompatibilities there is a backup in /var/cpanel/hordeOriginally Posted by goodmove

No. This is a feature we are evaluating for all 3rd party products we provide with cPanel/WHM.Originally Posted by goodmove

I would like to be able to use OWA as my webmail client for all of my websites on Apache servers. I suspect that there are many others who would like to do the same; it would be a very nice feature to offer cPanel users. I Googled "OWA on an Apache server" and found a number of solutions involving a VirtualHost (no need for Windows Server, additional Exchange Server license or ISA Server). If cPanel doesn't already have a solution, I would be happy to send a copy for your assessment of one of the better solutions based on web response. If you do have a solution, I would like to know what it is and how it can be implemented.
Please Note: Important cPanel/WHM Version Number Designation Change
As of July 28, 2010 the cPanel/WHM version number designations have been officially changed.
Version 11.25.1 is now designated 11.28 and version 11.25.2 is now designated 11.30.
These new changes were explained in some detail recently at the July 2010 - Quarterly Road map - Webinar direct from cPanel's PodCast Studio in Houston, Texas with speakers David Grega and Mario Rodriguez.
An official press release about these changes is forthcoming and can be accessed at this link as soon as it's made available to the Forum Team:
