    Default Outdated PHP Configuration Editor

Main >> Service Configuration >> PHP Configuration Editor needs an overhaul.

    - Several configuration directives for later versions of PHP don't appear in the editor. For example session.hash-function. (Maybe add a text field to the editor to append directives to php.ini rather than trying to keep up with new directives. It is supposed to be 'advanced' editor after all.)

    - Some links in leftmost column points to wrong/non-existent places. For example link for setting pfpro.defaulthost

The PHP Configuration Editor functions by reading /usr/local/lib/php.ini and providing an interface of the values that exist in the file. As such its design is as an editor of what you currently have, rather than providing capability to add arbitrary data.

A work around, awkward as it is, is to first add the directives you want to modify to /usr/local/lib/php.ini. They are then available to the PHP Configuration Editor in WHM.

Please note that I'm not saying we won't change the editor. I'm simply providing commentary on the design and scope of the editor and how to work around that particular peculiarity.

Ah! I did not realize that the advanced editor dynamically matched php.ini. That is good enough for all purposes. Thanks.
