WHM feature request

Hello,

1. I would like to see the cpanel staff implement this into the bottom restart section of WHM:

restart Cpanel/WHM ( where it would do "service cpanel restart" like in ssh)

the reason I want this is because every time I upgrade cpanel, I have to login to SSH and type that restart command, or else people cannot log into cpanel (it gives "document has moved" error).

Please let me know if you will consider adding this restart feature, and if not, is there a way I could custom add it to my WHM?

2. Could cpanel start something like a mailing list where people can signup to be emailed whenever lets say a new release becomes available? Like we would signup on cpanel website, and then everytime a release is made an email is sent to the mailing list?

For option 1, you shouldn't have to keep restarting cpanel. I never do, but since you have to, you could always make it a cronjob. Just make a simple script to restart cpanel and put it in the /scripts directory and edit the /var/spool/cron/root file to run that script an hour after the cpanel update.
