    Question about FTP

    Hi all
I installed cpanel finally. But here i have brand new question.
When i created a new test account.

1 - i did not get any mail for account information.
2 - how can i change mail template into Japanese?
3 - Where can i set up FTP hostname for newly created user?

    Regards

    Hello

    1) In "WHM >> Server Configuration >> Basic cPanel & WHM Setup" under the "Contact Information" tab, please ensure a valid email address is entered for the option titled:

"Enter one or more email addresses to contact in case a problem arises with this server."

This is the email address used when the server sends an email to notify you that a new account has been created.

    2) There are no options available at this time to change the mail template used for sending out the account information, however you are welcome to use the postwwwacct "hook" to send out your own custom email. Documentation that would be useful when doing that can be found at:

    Postwwwacct Hook

    3) You can use the hostname of the server, or the domain name itself (provided it points to the server) as the hostname when making FTP connections.

    Thank you.

    Dear Michael
You are my day savior. Lt me make something more clear.
1 - i meant information mail to customer. Not my self. Because i create that account for test purpose.
    2 - Done!
3 - i made ftp connection by ip address. But i want my clients use their domain names. Such as: ftp.someclient.com, ftp.anotherclient.net, ftp.hereisnet.org...etc.

Also i made connection but my ftp (FFFTP) software gave error that "Can not download Following File" another error is "Failed to getting file list". Is this Permission problem?

    Hello

    1) cPanel does not currently provide any functionality to send an email to the end-user when an account is created. This is better handled through third-party billing automation scripts.

    Billing Automation

    3) Using "ftp.domain.com" should work fine provided the domain name is pointed to the server (An "A" record for FTP is added by default). If the domain name uses a third-party DNS provider, remember to add an "A" record for "FTP" at the DNS host.

As for the error in your FTP client, you will need to ensure there are no custom firewall rules on your server restricting FTP access.

    Thank you.

    Hello

An A (address) record is a DNS record that can be used to point your domain name and host names to a static IP address. If your domain name is assigned name servers hosted on your cPanel server, there should be no need to make any changes to the DNS.

Feel free to open a support ticket if you continue to experience problems accessing FTP:
