Default Activating Files under "/public_html" for Public Viewing

I'm totally new to the cPanel system, but have used other systems.

I'm on the FILE MANAGER page and under /public_html.

I have loaded my files, the one webpage HTML and three accompanying photo files.

What action do I have to do to take to display them publically?

The tutorials seem to imply one paces them under /public_html, and that is that. I cannot see anything when I go to my URL.

I even deleted the default index.html file and replaced it with my home page file.

Make sure your home page ends in .html OR .php

Have you cleared your cache? And when did you set up that domain? Not all registrars update right away, sometimes it can take a few hours before it properly points to your server and also your ISP can cache data which might only get refreshed every few hours (hence the clearing browser cache bit).

I registered my domain with the same entity that is the server.

    It has their default page.

I will empty cache and start the process over and see if that works.

    Thanks for your help.

Does emptying the cache involve anything other than just deleting all of the files?

I take it there isn't a button to do that that I never noticed?

What browser are you using? The cache mentioned above has to do with your Web browser.

I have attached a gif of what I see on my Cpanel file manager.

    Does this appear correct?

However, the public is still unable to view the website.

What are the instructions on "clearing the cache" on Safari. Other than changing these files, what else would such an action effect? I don't want to acidentally eleminate other things. Is there a selective way to do this?

The file manager contents appear fine. The issue here is that, without knowing your domain name to see what shows in a browser, it isn't possible to know what might be wrong.
