Default advanced guestbook - need to enter and re-enter password

I installed advanced guestbook and then password protected the directory folder using the functions in Cpanel.

For some reason with this guestbook, I have to enter the username and password many many many many many times before accessing the guestbook in its entirety. I think it asks for a password for every picture that appears on the guestbook. Can anyone advise on how to password protect the advanced guestbook without this problem occuring.

You can see what I mean at

    http://www.rebello.ca/guest2

    username- test
    password- test

you have to basically reanter it once for every picture.

Thsi is really really really annoying
    Thanks

This might not help you but I had a similiar problem once. Customer had a password protected website but also protected a folder one level below the current one the pages are in. Each time he made a reference to an item in the folder below it would do the same thing.

Is it possible you protected the img folder as well, instead of just the main guest2 folder?

The images reside in a folder cound wing the folder that is password protected....here is the weird thing that seems to have solved the problem....although I dont; really understand why....

If I enter the URL as normal:
    http://www.rebello.ca/guest2
it will ask me for my password over and over again....boo boo boo

If I enter the URL as below:
    http://rebello.ca/guest2//
    then it works...only one password....weird

Can any of you smart people out there advise why this is so?
Well at least it works. Wish I knew more about this stuff.
    Thanks

    "cound wing "

    What is that?

Also note that the double trailling slash might have fixed it in this case but thats a quirk you are relying on and not a real fix.

Here is one of the links from your test login page:

    <img src="http://rebello.ca/guest2/img/sign.gif"

it does not have the "www" in it. the http://rebello.ca and the http://www.rebello.ca are different url's and logging into one does not log you into the other.

Make all the links conform to one standard url and that should end your problems with multiple logins.
