All ftp users can access the files on the server

Hello Guys,

All the users on my server are able to access all the files on the server and not only his own home directory . Please help me with this and advice me on what needs to be done for this.

it seems like you havent specified each user's own personal root directory
heres what to do in order to create a new user, and specify their own personal root:

from the main Cpanel menu, click on FTP manager

then click on FTP:// accounts

then on [add FTP account]

you must now choose a username, password and quota (maximum data transfer) for the user.

under these three boxes it says "Directory: /home/username/public_html"

in the box next to this is where you type the user's root directory. if you leave this box as "/" then the user can access every file from the root upwards. you must change this box to be the name of the desired subdomain (including any slashes "/")
