Unhappy All I see is "Error from park wrapper: xyzmydomain.com is owned by another user"

    Hi,

When I tried adding a second url/domain (example2.com) as "AddOn" on Example 1 web hosting, I'm getting error Error from park wrapper: xyzmydomain.com is owned by another user.

    Pre conditions:
    I own both the URL's.
Both websites are hosted on CPanel.
The example2.com web Url/domain nameservers are pointed to ns1.exatlinfo.info and ns2.exaltinfo.info.

    Default Try this

    Hi,

First you have to check the particular domain is already created on your server or it may be added as an parked domain to any of the Domain on your server. If it is parked unparked and retry.

    Thanks,

Run the command below to find the account.

    /scripts/whoowns example2.com

If this shows blank, then either there is a DNS zone for this site which can be removed by running '/scripts/killdns example2.com' or it has some partial entries in /var/cpanel/userdata/ or /var/cpanel/users/ folders which need to be forcefully removed.

1 solution works for all problems. Trying harder!

You may also get the error if the username for both the accounts are same.
When you are adding the addon domain, change it's username and check whether you can add the domain.

Additionally, I've also seen this when the domain was manually added to the server using the 'Add DNS Zone' feature, or was left on the server from a previous owner/user. You must first delete any corresponding DNS zone for the domain before you can park it.
